Benefits of Smoothies

Fitness and staying healthy is one of my passions. Smoothies really help me to get a better nutrition and boost my immunity. Here are some more reasons to drink smoothies:

  • Boost your immunity
  • Get better nutrition
  • Stay or get healthy
  • Feel more energized and fit throughout the day
  • Higher intake of fiber, minerals and vitamins
  • Help lose weight
  • Show you ways to make healthy snacks (2go)

If you haven’t joined my smoothie challenge yet, you can do this now by clicking HERE.

You are supposed to eat 5 servings of fruits an vegetables each day to meet you vitamin, mineral and fiber needs. Even though the best way to consume all the vitamins is to simply eat them, a lot of people don’t have the time or can’t handle the taste.

Especially with kids and toddlers it can get a little frustrating providing them with a balanced diet.

Today’s smoothie contains 2 servings of vegetables and 3 servings of fruit. It is the ultimate vitamin boost and I promise you will not taste the greens! You can try this smoothie now or PIN IT for later.

Pineapple-Orange-Carrot Green Smoothie Recipe

You need:

  • 1 1-inch slice of pineapple, peeled and diced
  • 1 apple without core and diced
  • 1 orange peeled and cut into 4
  • 1 cup or a big hand full of baby spinach
  • 6 baby carrots or 1/2 cup diced carrots

You can mix all ingredients in your mixing cup and start blending. I love to use the Nutri Ninja to make my smoothies. This machine is so powerful and blends EVERYTHING! Fill half the cup with water, or as much as you like for your desired consistency.

All of your ingredients might not fit into the cup all at once, so I suggest blending one part first and then add the other part.

ENJOY your Pineapple-Orange-Carrot Green Smoothie!
