If you are trying to consume 5-7 servings of fruit and vegetables a day, smoothies are a great way to help you do that. There are so many options to mix fruits and vegetables to give you all the vitamins, minerals and fiber you need.  The pineapple mango apple smoothie contains exactly 3 servings of fruits.

If you want to add vegetables to it, I suggest adding 5 baby carrots, or one cup of spinach/kale to make it a green smoothie. You might have to add more water to make the smoothie drinkable.

It can get frustrating to make kids and toddlers eat fruits and vegetables for a balanced diet. Smoothies are a great way to give your kid a healthy nutrition. For a fun alternative pour the smoothie into a popsicle form and freeze!

Prepare the pineapple mango apple smoothie

Today’s smoothie contains 3 servings of fruits. It is a great vitamin boost and a great outside summer or spring drink.

You will need:

To prepare the Smoothie peel the mango and pineapple and cut into chunks. Cut up the apple (with the skin) but remove the core. If you have a powerful blender you can leave the chunks larger. I mixed the apple and mango, with half the cup full of water, first.

After mixing this I added the pineapple chunks and mixed again.

Now you just have to pour it into a large glass and enjoy! This amount will fill a 16 oz glass plus a little kiddie cup.
