German Goulash Recipe – With Mashed Carrots
In german here.
I got this awesome German Goulash Recipe from my grandmother and her food is always the best! While living in america it helps me a lot to be able to cook the food that tastes like home. The mashed carrots are a great side for babies and toddlers!
How to cook the German Goulash Recipe
Brown the beef stew meat and add vegetables, liquid and seasoning. Let simmer on low for 1h. You can also use your crock pot for the goulash recipe.
Meanwhile peel potatoes, cut the potatoes and the carrots into chunks and cook them in water until they are soft.
I don’t drain all the water, i leave just a little bit in the pot, mix it with milk and the rest of the ingredients and mash everything.
When the goulash is soft, mix 1/3 cup milk with 4 t cornstarch until there are no clumps and then pour it into the goulash. Let it boil for 1 minute until the gravy thickens.
