Quick and Easy Taco Salad with Ground Turkey
I made this Easy Taco Salad in under 20 minutes and my family loved it. Lettuce, tomato, avocado and ground turkey make this meal healthy. This is great for busy nights. You can buy the salsa seasoning mix or just do it yourself. I buy the mix when I want to prepare the meal quicker, but I will give you a recipe to make your own taco seasoning at home, which is the healthier option.

How to Prepare the Easy Taco Salad
To make this dinner start browning your ground turkey until it is not pink anymore. Then add the seasoning and let simmer for 3 minutes. In the meantime cut up lettuce (1/4 of the lettuce per plate), tomatoes and slice the avocado.
If you want to make your own taco seasoning mix try this recipe:
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
The amount of the topping is up to you. Some want more veggies, some like it with more meat and chips.
Place the lettuce on a plate and layer with chips, tomatoes, ground beef, shredded cheese and sour cream. I placed the avocado slices around the plate.
