I love reducing our grocery bill and recently managed to spend only $38 on groceries for one week! There are a lot of ways to save money on groceries. These are my top tips:

  • filter your own water with a water filtration pitcher (with this system we spend only $4 for the whole month on drinking water for the whole family)
  • cut the required amount of meat for your recipe in half (or cook every other meal meatless)
  • really compare prices between grocery stores and make it a habit to shop at the cheapest (ALDI is definitely our top pick)

How to prepare the Frugal Chicken Linguine Alfredo Recipe

I am using 1 chicken breast for the recipe and usually there are 3 chicken breasts in one pack. You can freeze the rest to use later. You can cook the rest of the chicken, shred it and add it to this Burrito Bowl Recipe, the Chicken Enchilada Recipe or substitute the ground beef with shredded chicken in this simple Spaghetti Recipe.
